Linear time management is sooo yesterday...
by Janice Brown

Welcome to this week’s edition of Stormy Sunday Stories, the one's where we go a little off the rail of mainstream and take a big wide gnarly look at the world.
Where am I?
Write down what you did today and tell me how one thing is different than one you did yesterday, even if it’s just a micromillimeter of difference.
Even if nothing else seems the same and everything you do is different, if you can’t identify a new feeling, a new sense of hope, you are in proximity to an eternal timeline. If, on the other hand, you can feel a sense of certainty, a small upliftment, a millimetre of difference in feeling, positive or negative, then you are shifting between landscapes. Shifting between Fields.
Now, what do I mean by that? Ok. This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for…
You are time travelling, and I don’t mean the backwards and forwards kind of time travelling; I mean the most important kind, time travelling of the vertical timeline. Now each of us has a variety of zone designations that are powerfully meant for us, and that’s something I’m going to tell you about in a great degree of detail. What I want you to know is that this is navigating your emotional experience by feel.
Wait now, aren’t these the same things? Emotion and Feeling? They are, and they aren’t.
Navigating emotion by feel is understanding that you have a discernment of choice. And choice exists because you feel a certainty or hesitation. And I need you to know that these are not the mainstream definitions that you are used to. And going forward, I’m going to give you a word a week, sometimes more, to understand in a new context, and today I really want you to look at yourself through this lens of experience.
Ok, now before we go too much further, I want you to spot check. Spot one thing different in your environment and tell me how you feel about it.
Dirty dish on the countertop? Might even be the same dish that has been sitting there for the past three days. Now tell me how you feel about it AND…tell me why you transplanted it there over and over again.
What the faaaaack? Look, I know this is not a normal conversation, but you are not going to understand anything new about life and living if we don’t start covering some new terrain.
Tell me why you transplanted it there. For what purpose? For what reason? Even if it’s not a dirty dish, say it’s a piece of cheese on the breadboard from a party the night before last that is still sitting in your fridge in the same sort of container but not quite exactly the same as the last. Know why? It’s an Architecture of Hope.
Oh man! She’s gone loopy now.
Ok. I need you to follow me very carefully through this narrow passageway called time-perception.
Nothing is real, and nothing is as it seems to be.
When you lost that fingertip at a football game, you were paying attention to something else that didn’t matter to you in the timeline you were in. Know how I know that? That’s the place we leave external body parts. If we were to look at theLandscape of Misbelief and Disbelief, you’d find it strewn with parts and pieces from other timelines, and I don’t mean this in a morbid way. I mean in a way where you have taken pause from believing in yourself, your own ability to heal, and make a difference.
Now this is an extreme circumstance. Let’s go back to the kitchen cupboard and start looking for microcosmic dots. Now a microcosmic dot is an area that seems more blurry than the rest. It doesn’t have to be a big room to be the size of a wormhole; it only needs to be a depth perception experience. And let me tell you why that matters, because if it is the case that you have given yourself a microcosmic dot, then you are looking at a new timeline potential sitting front and centre in front of your face.
And if you can make this small discernment, you can, for theoretical purposes sake, say to yourself, ‘Man oh man! I’m feeling a little bit better today than yesterday.’ And you may in fact plant yourself right inside a new timeline, someone else’s or your own. We call this a Ladder of Hope: finding one reason to feel better with certainty over the feeling you were feeling a moment ago.
Now this doesn’t have to be a yesterday or a today type of experience; this is what we call The Now Present Moment. And anything that happens in the Architecture of Hope in The Now Present Moment becomes what it was meant to be.
Now a word of caution here: when I say you’ve shifted timelines into someone else’s experience, I don’t mean you are reading the pages of the cookbook on their cooking counter; I mean you are reading the pages of your cookbook in a better feeling plane.
An alternative experience, and right in that moment that you time shift, something else you have been looking at may look wildly different than it did a moment before. Not as in, there’s a jungle growing out of the front door closet, but the doors are open when you were sure you closed them just a moment ago. The countertop looks a slightly different hue; you downcast your eyes, and your thighs seem to have a different angulation. Stop right there; now flex your muscles and know that this is real. You are real. And any motherfucker that tells you differently is doing so with a warped sense of understanding in his or her own head.
You’ve got to believe that you are capable of healing and going through experiences that you don’t understand withoutjustification. Why, just the other day, I had the sense that I could go for a run, and the very first step I took towards doing that, a thought popped into my head that maybe my body wasn’t ready for it. Motherfucker identified.
Ok. These are mainstream thoughts, and they keep us locked in a portal of time like nobody’s business. No body’s business but my own, what my body is doing. (Sidebar: we’re going to get back on track, but this is an important identifier).
Every time you use words to lock yourself into a moment, you are setting an Anchor of Hope or a Portal of Failure, and I’m not just talking about an ability to believe in the body to heal itself; I am talking about you and your own ability to make traction in your life in dynamic and powerful ways.
Now, why would I bother talking about dirty dishes if we’re talking about jumping timelines? Well, because I want you to know that’s how simple it is. You are not some fairytale construct that only exists over Here when you wish you could be over There. The moment you wish it, you are. You just haven’t discerned how to know the difference and make the difference actualized.
Ok, that’s a nice point of contention I’m sure, but what I mean is, let’s go back to the dirty dishes. Are you waiting for someone else to clean? To pick it up off the floor to make a point? To make someone else suffer? To make your own self suffer? Have you been so busy that you didn’t even notice it there? Busy with what? What are you doing? Why are you doing it? What would you rather be doing? Why are you even sitting here reading this article in the first place? Because it matters why you put things in your Construct Awareness, AND when you can begin to see that YOU are the one that is putting you there, you’ll begin to understand your own way of feeling about things.
Now, why I want you to make a note of this and discern a difference is because you have been giving yourself messages all along and not knowing how to discern them, and that’s the magic carpet ride that we are on. Discipline won’t get you there. Decluttering won't get you there unless you truly understand what decluttering is. Disconnecting won’t do it either, and neither, quite frankly, will Reconnecting.
What you’ve got to do is start looking at your landscape like it’s a treasure map of discernible items of exploration. I like to call this the Museum of Time, and my good friend Jane Roberts wrote a bunch in a book about that once. You might want to pick that up off a dusty shelf because she wrote that one 30 or 40 or maybe even 50 years ago. Or maybe even yesterday, and you’ve just managed to perceive it today. Time is wonky as fuck. And that’s no joke.
We are drastically altered in every timeline we experience, and that’s not to say that we are not the same; that is to say that, the world we drag around with us is not. We make the world what it is each and every day, right down to the dust bunny in the corner on the floor.
Now, why does that matter?
You’re going to start seeing things that don’t make sense, and when that happens, what I don’t want you to do is go put that in the same old shoebox that it came out of yesterday.
You can’t believe how many places you are being at once when you are constructing a world timeline. I wouldn’t want to be in a lot of places that don’t appeal to me, so I isolate myself from any opportunity for being there. Now, how do I do that? Do something so extreme as to walk myself right off of the face of the earth where something that exists for me in potential could happen?
Because I have a mindset, or a feeling, or a certain comprehension of self that knows and understands what is best for Me. And also what I do not want to experience again in ‘any uncertain terms,’ and this phrase is important. Maybe I would want to experience it in ‘certain terms,’ but never in uncertain terms.
You are not a jukebox junkie. You are an exquisite piece of the orchestra, and no life form exists without you. That’s how important you are. How important each one of us IS. We are dynamic and dynamically responsible for the experiences we are having. We just don’t know how to sort it out in our minds yet. And that’s going to take some time, but we are going to get there through microcosmic shifts. And we are going to do it when you least expect it, right Here and Now. Wherever that is!
Ok, ok. Now, what do I mean by that? We all take these mamby-pamby journeys through gridlock in our minds and think we are getting there just the same way each and every time. Not true. We are dialling it out or dialling it in, and what I mean by that is widening out or narrowing in to use in a particular direction.
Now, if I only see dirty dishes because I only eat off a new plate every time, I have no need to wash the last one. But if I never wash a plate because I don’t feel like it because of some external consequence, then I am in a timeline construct of my own mind’s thinking of something untoward about myself.
Now, how can I know that? Simply because, a clear Heart and Mind doesn’t leave a room full of booby traps sitting around waiting for you to fall upon them. It knows what it is doing when it sets it up.
Now, I myself have done this for a long time.
‘I don’t feel like it.’
‘I’m too tired.’
‘It’s the kid’s turn to step up.’
‘If I wash that plate it will piss me off.’ (Poor plate.)
‘If I don’t wash that plate, I’m going to have to look at it again and the next time I walk into that room I don’t want to see it there.’ (So much burden in the world because of plates! Poor plates.)
Now! Pull the good dishes out of the cupboard on a normal day, and you’ll think you’re reading a book from back in the 80s, or was it the 90s? I don’t remember; it’s not relevant, but some part of my mind thinks it is because it immediately localized that data into a linear timeline I could understand as an experience that I had during a certain period of time in my life. In the early days in my life, when I was married or perhaps not married but exploring feelings in a deeper way for the first time. I know I wanted to know then why I do things the way I do, and quite frankly, I’m still exploring this. It’s not a one-and-done process.
Now, ‘use the good dishes' means to Me, the one I need in the moment that’s my favourite to use. I don’t need much more than that. I have moved a lot of material out of my life that existed because of a sense of obligation, and that was a powerful and freeing moment in my life, and I’ll tell you about that on another day.
Today, I want to help reduce the amount of waste in the world by changing our minds about a few things. We made it this way, and we can unmake it. Of this I’m certain. But it takes a few of us rowing the boat in the same direction.
Now, local research tells me that it’s a shit show out there. But metaphysical research tells me we are in a time of great transformation. And this is the hard work of being in the cocoon and turning into a slimy pile of ooze before launching yourself out of the launch bay in a newly reformed and all-grown-up version of you that you’ve never seen before. The one who knows who you are without question.
And I want to give you a little clue that we’ve been exploring all along the way today. Anytime you experience even one iota of change in your life experience that’s different from one day to the next in the platform of feeling you are being yourself in more ways than you know.
Friction sometimes makes us misbehave in certain ways; we’ve just got to get out of the corset that is too tight so we can breathe. That might be a mindset, a false construct, an obligation, or a consensus of reason that no longer fits but causes you a certain level of harm.
I can’t tell You why.
You can tell You why, and you can know for certain that the change you made is a good feeling or bad feeling (perhaps uncomfortable is a better word) and that is about you transforming your life and your localization.
Back to the dish. Why did you put it there to remind yourself to do something different today? Only you really know what that’s about, but you’re going to start seeing things differently, and that’s the most important thing. Not that there is a dirty dish or isn’t a dirty dish, but that you can see it from a new point of view. And point of view is dynamically altered in each timeline level of experience.
And so this is what you need to know Now. You are localizing or not localizing based on feelings of Worth, and this is dynamically opposed to the mainstream construct that you don’t believe you can or can’t. It is truly and most profoundly about your own sense of Worth of being capable of having a certain experience. And I’m going to talk about this in a lot of different ways, and some of them may feel foreign to you, and some of them may make no sense, and some of them will hit right on the button, and that’s because we are exploring the landscape of the human Heart and Mind.
Some may call this the psyche but they would be localizing into a mainstream construction of experience known as Externalized Portrait of Understanding. I am talking about the landscape of the soul in formation and reformation, and that’s where things get a little gnarly from time to time. So bear with me or don’t; the choice is yours. But this is a landscape of profound resonance, profound altercations of some sorts, so I’m going to keep walking along the front line pointing out booby traps and make-believe, and you can bring a notepad or a stretcher, whatever feels best for you in the moment.
But for me, it’s more of a saunter now that I’ve puked my guts out in the trenches a few times. I can’t rightly say I don’t bear responsibility to any of those experiences; in fact, I rightly do. For all of them.
But here’s the thing: I can’t understand the construct of not wanting to figure it out to make it better for others. And so that’s the one I’m going to keep exploring; how to make an iota of difference in the world because I know the one small thing I do for myself today makes a mountain of difference for someone else down the line.
We’ve got to sort these things out if we are ever going to see deep and meaningful change in the world around us. It’s on us. We get to choose. We get to Know. And, We get to Feel. That’s why we are here; in fact, it is our profound responsibility to feel, and at times this feels like more of an obligation than any one person can manage, and that’s why we’re going to talk about different levels of feeling and negotiating tactics for the mind and self.
And also about the kid next door that doesn’t know any better what he’s doing when he gets down on his knees and prays for rain so he doesn’t have to go on a stupid field trip today. That guy just planted a seed.
Phewww… so much going on!
And we get to be here to watch it all unfold. How lucky am I? How lucky are you?
It’s a game of joust, and you don’t really even see it that way yet. But you will. Only the jousting sticks aren’t anything more than a figment of your own imagination. And that’s when it gets hard to see some days. But you will. And these talks will help you understand. You are safe. All is well. And the sun will rise another day for us to start all over again.
Gotta go buy a fresh dessert to put in that dish I just washed and tell you another story someday about eating yummy food. Ok, all right. Nuff said.
Talk soon, my friend, talk soon.
Janice. A Warrior Girl from WAY Back when….
I’ve been working with the Tao as long as I’ve lived; and so have you. Here’s what that means to me, I’m a problem solver and I use the Tao as a framework for my discussion. In my writing and my work, I share with you how I use it, and you can decide if that’s helpful for you or not.
I write from the Heart in the moment, specifically from my point of view. You may not have seen it this way before, but that's the whole point—to turn it around and look at it another way. I like to explore metaphysical concepts with a high level of certainty punctuated by moments of playful curiosity.
